The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is world-renowned for its clinical and research excellence, forging the way for newer and better ways to diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders. Its long... more and rich history of top-notch patient care began more than two centuries ago with the founding of the nation's first medical school, the University of Pennsylvania.
I can’t praise enough the superior skills of the staff of Silverstein 12. The nurses and assistants invested great effort to meet the special needs of our developmentally delayed son. Their compassion... more and skill in interpreting his language & behavior and in alleviating his fear were remarkable. In particular, Dan, MK, Sean, John, and Ivor were most kind. It is not surprising that HUP has achieved magnet status. Thank you all! Deb Boroughs
I went in for asthma @6pm. I sat in the emergency department until 9pm when they decided to do an X-ray. They sent me back to the emergency room waiting area and I kept complaining about wheezing, shortness... more of breathe and chest pains. They came to check my vitals and gonna say my my oxygen is at 100 when I knew it wasn’t. The nurse gonna say it’s gonna be a while longer before we find you a room. I said I was leaving and they watch me, a person who couldn’t breathe and was having difficulty even talking walk out! They do not care about your health and they sure as hell don’t care about you being able to breathe or not ! They do not care about there patients!! WORST HOSPITAL EVER! I SUGGEST NO ONE GO HERE! I MEAN UNLESS YOU WANNA DIE, BE MY GUEST!!!
Definitely not the place to go for an emergency. Very long wait time. I cried for 3 hours from sever stomach pain before i was even bought to the back. My nurse did not give me my call button tv remote... more or anything then when you call for them i have been waiting over an hour for Ben as of now to answer the call light. I had surgery here that was great but there ER is a horror story to anyone in pain or in need of medical attention
