Went to consult a child psychologist but turned out a very disappointing experience. First of all, she was never punctual with no apology. Appointment at 9 am, but she only appeared at 9.30 am or later,... more pretending nothing happens. She only apologized once for being more than 1 hour late, but that was due to unusual traffic condition, which i could also understand. I understand if a specialist needs to make rounds at the ward, hence timing is very uncertain but don't think the same applies to a child psychologist. Another psychologist I met in other hospital apologized for being 15 minutes late after the appointment time.
Secondly, she repeatedly asked basic information as if she never bother to remember them. She was not even trying to verify these information. It's like every time we meet, she will ask the same basic information as if we met for the first time. When confronted, she just say that it's a habit. I expect a professional psychologist should at least keep track of these information as sign of respect towards his/her client.
As a psychologist, it is surprising to me that she has not understood my true intention of seeing her but keep on steering me towards her own logic. She had totally ignored the emotional part but just focus on IQ tests.
Last but not least, her recommendations are so generic that it can be applied to anyone. When being asked certain behavior is caused by previous experience or due to cognitive problems, she said maybe but not sure and there's no way to find out. I thought the reason I saw her is to find that answer! There is no professional insights at all. I'll only regard her as an IQ tester.
Some of the above I have feedback to her but she was not receptive at all, thinking it was my problem, instead of hers. One star given to the hospital.
you just have to wait, wait and wait at there. one of the nurse was in bad attitude when we ask her something, as a customer we had the right to request or ask something, we paid for it, it is not for... more free. even though we paid for so much cost but they didn't even provide fully necessity for us, they charge for everything. bad experience with them, boo.
